Job Summary: This position provides engineering services required for the construction, expansion, and maintenance of County drainage infrastructure. Administer and supervise the drain maintenance program including the maintenance staff. Develops drain maintenance and construction plans, provides project oversight, reviews plans for development, inspects drain projects, investigates drain related problems and complaints, and advises the general public. In the absence of the Drain Commissioner and Chief Deputy, acts on behalf of the Drain Commissioner.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulics, Sediment Transport or related field.
- Possession of a Professional Engineering registration in the State of Michigan.
Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in engineering; or any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
