Registration now open for the 2022 Michigan Environmental Compliance Conference!
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) will host the 2022 Michigan Environmental Compliance Conference (MECC) at the Suburban Showplace in Novi, Michigan on April 20 and 21. The MECC has been designed to help businesses, municipalities, and environmental professionals all across Michigan comply with their environmental requirements and incorporates an exhibitor showcase and several concurrent tracks covering introductory and advanced compliance topics.
Registration is now open for the 2021 Virtual Great Lakes PFAS Summit!
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2021 Virtual Great Lakes PFAS Summit taking place December 6-10! The goals of the Summit are to provide the most current and reliable science and policy, facilitate information sharing, and explore current and future research topics related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

The investment focuses on rebuilding Michigan’s infrastructure and provides $500 million worth of funding to help local communities upgrade their drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.

MACDC Winter Conference Update
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors for the Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners has chosen to cancel the 2021 MACDC Annual Winter Conference at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa originally scheduled for February 10th through 12th. It is our hope that the MACDC Summer Conference currently scheduled for July 14th through 16th at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island will take place. We will keep you posted as to the status of Summer Conference as more information becomes available.

New Drain Code Legislation Webinar
On December 29, 2020, the governor signed into law House Bills 5126 and 5504, now Public Acts 281 and 291, respectively, to provide amendments to the Drain Code. As a result, the Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners is hosting a webinar on February 3rd at 2:00 PM to discuss these amendments.
