EMHSD Information Bulletin – Safeguarding Tomorrow Revolving Loan Fund Program

The Michigan State Police, Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division is exploring program requirements and local interest in a new FEMA program, Safeguarding Tomorrow Revolving Loan Fund Program.  If applied for and awarded to Michigan, the program would make funding available for low interest loans to local governments and tribes for implementing hazard mitigation projects.  MSP is seeking information from local governments and tribes to gage interest in applying for such loans.    Read more...

Announcing Michigan’s High Water Infrastructure 2023 Request for Proposals

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is pleased to announce Michigan’s 2023 High Water Infrastructure Grant Program Request for Proposals for a one-time release for up to $14.25 million as appropriated by the Michigan Legislature under Section 1006 of PA 87 of 2021.  This grant program will provide infrastructure and planning grants that directly address the impacts and vulnerabilities presented by severe weather events, with a focus on projects that address flooding, coastline erosion, urban heat, and storm water management.
